How did it start:
The military sports camp is an integral part of the curriculum of the high school. The camp is organized in two stages: Yerevan and expeditionary camps. In High School, the first sports camps were organized in the village of Aygestan in Artsakh, in army conditions, with a military sports camp program. Those were the first steps we took, presenting our alternative to the NDP state course.
Since 2016, military sports camps have been a component of the students’ curriculum:
- In 9th grades: 5 days a year
- In grades 10-11: 10 days a year
The key to the establishment of a military camp is the provision of content. In the camps of different years, we have tried to use the resources we have, we have established contacts with various organizations and military units in order to ensure the military-sports component in the prescribed format.
Thanks to years of experience and formed connections, today we have military sports camps 2022-23.
Military camp
In the 2022-23 academic year, the military sports camps were organized in two stages:
- Yerevan
- Outside
The military sports components of the camp were:
- military training
- first aid training
- Local history
- defense of research work.
Mr. Yailoyan, the commander of the N military unit, greatly supported the establishment of the camps and with his active support, the commander of the same military unit, Vahe Khachatryan.
All students of the 9th-11th grade of the high school passed the components of preliminary military training in the Yerevan phase, according to the program.
And in the outdoor phase, the mentioned trainings were organized in field conditions and also added hikes to Tsakhats Kar, Spitakavore and north of Aretes and Khachats Dzor.
Autumn military sports camp in Arates in September-December
- 9th grades: 136 students in 6 shifts.
Summer military sports camp in Arets in June-August
- Grades 10-11: 232 students in 11 shifts.
Thus, we can say that 368 students of the 9th-12th grade participated in the outdoor military sports camp in Arates from September to August 2022-23.
The shifts were coordinated by Vahe Khachatryan and Hovsep Toneyan with the following content.

On August 30, Avag Gabrielyan, the chief education specialist of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports of the Vayots Dzor Governorate, Aghasi Hovhannisyan, the chief specialist of the same department, and Mr. Yailoyan, the commander of N Zoramsa, who had his active support in the establishment of the military sports component, visited the camp and participated in the military sports demonstration training.
As a result of summarizing the results of the camp, there were a number of recommendations:
- to organize the training of military officers with the author’s program
- Organize joint camps with students of Vayots Dzor schools
- To organize a three-day camp with military duty for Sebastián students in Baghramyan’s combat position.
- Organize combat duty in N military unit.
