Euthanasia is the act of deliberately ending a person’s life in order to relieve suffering due to painful illness. It’s sometimes referred as “assisted dying” or “death with dignity”.

there are many reasons that it’s illegal in some countries…

  • Religious beliefs- many religious people and organizations think that life is sacred and deliberate ending of life is wrong
  • concerns about abuse- many people think that allowing euthanasia could lead to abuse, such as people being pressured to end their lives, even if they don’t really want to.

Why do people choose euthanasia to end their lives?

  • loss of quality life

Some families even pressure someone to end their lives with euthanasia. In some cases, family members might see euthanasia as a way to end suffering of a loved one, save them from a further pain. They might genuinely believe that it’s what’s best for the person.

is there a difference between murder and euthanasia?

the difference is that murder is the deliberate taking of a person’s life without their consent and with intention to harm them,, while euthanasia is the deliberate end to a person’s life , usually relieve pain and suffering.

In some countries, euthanasia is legal, the doctors there so performs it are not punished. In some other countries it is illegal, so the performer can face severe consequences.
